Need guidance and encouragement, please. (kinda wordy)
Hi,
I hoped I never had to post one of these questions but I at least feel very lucky that I have this place to turn to. I just can't google anymore (i'll lose my mind) and my dh is a moron (but means well) and even though I want to run, run, run to the OB's office i'm trying to keep my wits about me and not freak ...
I'm almost 9 weeks pg. This morning after I wiped there was fresh, bright red blood - not in abundance, very very little and streaked with clear CM - and a bloody clot about half the size of a pinkie. I've had no cramping in my tummy just in my upper back for a few days and i've chalked that up to just being pg.
I know alot of you have experienced bleeding during pregnancy before and have had successful pregnancies. Should I wait and see how the day goes and call my OB 1st thing in the morning or call now and most likely head to the E.R.?
What do you think?
TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
Cathie

Call now. They will most likely tell you what to do and reassure you. Spotting is not unusual in early pregnancy. I had much more than what you are describing and have a lovely 25 year old daughter and a wonderful 23 year old son now. I was a prenatal nurse at the time I was pregnant, so of course, thought the worst. It was only spotting. They will probably tell you to rest and see how it goes. Just call them and see what they want you to do. I am sure they will reassure you!

Thanks Jennifer and Laura ..
I called the on-call OB and he said "we really don't know what's going on this early into pregnancy BUT call your OB tomorrow and ask if he wants to see you OR if you start bleeding heavily go to the E.R." ...
I have been potty since and nothing except an abundance of CM (I can feel it!)

I had spotting throughout my pregnancy with Bella, none with my first daughter.... so weird, and every pregnancy was different. Call your OB, I am sure you are fine but need the reassurance. I can totally understand that!
Ok - I just saw that you have had no more blood! That is good!!! :) If you worry go to the ER , I would! I am one of those people that if I am not saine my life is HELL.
Keep us posted!

That's so scary. I know how you feel. They should be able to do an ultrasound on you and see the baby at almost 9 weeks. I think it would help put your mind at ease. I know it would me. If it's stopped that is a good sign. Also, I think men don't know how to handle these things and say stupid things that make you feel worse, I know my hubby did.

Please go to the ER. If you ARE miscarrying, there is nothing they can do this early on, but monitor you. But they do have the equipment to do an ultrasound and let you know one way or another.
I'm concerned about the blood clot you spoke of and the fact that you are bleeding AGAIN.
Hoping for the best. My heart goes out to you.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes. I am out of control and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst...then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ---Marilyn Monroe
