Hello Everyone,
Cd 9 here, just finished my round of clomid today (100mg each day). Still feeling optimistic for this cycle. I have a good feeling, hoping I am right. I do have a question though, when should the BDing begin full force? I am not an average 28 day girl, so just a rough estimate would help, don't want to wear DH out too early . I am also temping and not sure when to catch the O other than getting the dip, do we just BD every day or other or etc? Thanks for the help in advance.
Best of Luck to those baking, those ready to evict...LOL and Congrats to those newly pregnant.

For me, clomid made me ovulate later. For a lot earlier. Are you going to have your follicles checked during the cycle by your RE. That is the best way to predict o...and usually clomid cycles are monitored by internal ultrasounds. If not then I highly recommend doing the ovulation prediction tests. I used the answer brand from walmart 20 for $17 bucks. That will tell you about 12-36 hours before your ovulation and that way you won't wear hubby out. I didn't even tell hubby I was ovulating so I wouldn't stress him out. You can also watch for the egg white cervical discharge. If you can't get your follies checked, or get the opk tests...then I would start bd every other day starting about now. The sperm can live 5 days...and if you have a normal luteal phase (time from ovulation to aunt flow) on a 28 day cycle you could o as early as cd12-cd18. And since you are not sure of your cycle length you definitely don't want to miss the opportunity. That is why I recommend the opk's. A lot of girls get them on the internet cheaper, but you wouldn't have them in time for this cycle. Good luck and keep us posted okay. Shari
Hi Shari,
Thanks for replying..... I have never used the opk's nor have they checked my follies during my cycle. As for CM still not sure what to look for as well as the position of my cervix (don't know what I am feeling for), my luteal phase seems to be normal, I think, I apparently O ed on cd 30 and got AF on CD 47 last cycle (un medicated just gave soy a try, worked for O but way too late) so that is 17 days right? Man I feel stupid with all this even though we have been trying off and on for 15 years. The only time I had us for ovaries was to determine pcos (a few times). So far this cycle with the clomid I have had twinges and slight pain on both sides but mostly the left, don't know what to make of that. Today it has been fairly quiet, I think only twinges a couple of times. ANy idea at what that may be? Thanks for the help

Get the book 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility.' It'll explain how to chart, how to feel your cervix, check the EWCM, etc. You can buy it...or I'm sure your library should have it. It really is a helpful book.
Can't help much re the clomic questions...I did clomid for a few months with out getting pg, so have moved on to Femara and IUI.
Good luck.

Twinges are a good sign of ovulation. And you usually just o on one side each month and it alternates. Sometimes on clomid you might o on both sides...but if you are feeling it on the left that is probably the side for this month. If you truly have a 17 day lp, and the clomid works well... you could very well be oing soon. Soy made me o way late too. I would definately get some opk's...it would make your bd timing easier if you need another cycle. Lets just hope you get your bfp this time. Good luck. Shari
