Anyone with PMDD?

I was diagnosed with PMDD (Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and for me it really is severe PMS which happens one week before my period every freaking month. I can barely function, so moody and tired and nauseous for the whole week before. Does anyone have this, if so how do you deal with it and are you prescribed medication. I usually get high anxiety a little before that week because I know it's coming. I had it this week and it's over now but it was sooooo bad. Any help?

I have it, when not pregnant of course. My doctor gave me xanax to take when it gets really bad. I use it only when I felt completely out of control and my script is a very low dose. At one point I was on YAZ and it really helped the PMDD but it made my periods worse than they already were. I also upped my b vitamins. I am not sure if it helped but I knew it could not hurt.

Me, I have this.  I guess you tested negative - me too  (I want to be more than anything but in the right situation)

I don't take any meds for this.  I was told by my former therapist that it only gets worse.

SSRI's (Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, Lexapro, etc.) are prescribed for this.

You'll get through this - remember you've gotten through it the month before and that it is just temporary.  You too can try an SSRI?  I'm working on doing more natural stuff, like whole foods and supplements.

Actually I didn't get a negative I was just assuming these things were my PMDD because this is what it always was in the past, haven't got the period yet, its due this weekend.
