Surprise!!
I had my first OB appointment today at 7 weeks, and Surprise!! It's twins!! They are not sure if they are identical. I don't think they are, because I was on 50 mg of Clomid (still just a little less than 12% chance of multiples at that dosage), and I felt both ovaries pretty strongly. I think DH had a mild heart attack when I told him. The OB makes a DVD of every visit's sonogram, and we watched it together since he was not able to make it to the appt today for last minute work stuff. He still can't believe it. He asked me, holding a very obvious picture if it was for sure. I said it was!
Any tips on books or reading stuff I should look into for those of you with twins? I'm interested in not only pregnancy stuff but especially life with newborn twins. How crazy!! I never imagined I'd be the mother of twins. My DH only ever wanted two kids, so this was pretty much the last pregnancy for us. I will get a bonus baby!! Thanks for all your continued support. I guess I can write down "announcing that you're pregnant with twins" as one way to give your man a heart attack!!

congrats, i am pregnant with identical twin boys, however i also took clomid 150mg on days 5-9 however clomid produces fraternal twins, identical twins is a fluke it just happens and doesnt run in peoples family
so i was surprised just like you i already have a 15 month old daughter thanks also to clomid
hubby only wanted 1 more and we got blessed with 2 more, so i am also done, having my tubes tied after my c section.
good luck with your pregnancy

All those books, toss them out the window. LOL Nothing can prepare you for twins except jumping right in.
In the beginning it's going to be very overwhelming, but then in about a month it will seem like a breeze. You will develop a routine and then it will change and change again.
Some people are going to tell you to keep the kids on the same schedule. I tried that, it didn't work. For the most part they are on the same schedule now, but it took almost a year to get there.
You will want two swings, two cribs, two bouncy seats, more burp cloths than you can count........diapers, don't even try to fathom in your head how many diapers you will go through.
Having twins is the best!
