I am scheduled to go in right before the cut off of this test. I am wondering if any of you have had techs give their "guestimated oppinion" ? If so were they right or wrong ? Yes I know that most wait between 17-20 weeks to find out.  I have a friend with 3 kids and the "guestimation" was corrrect for her each time between 11-12 weeks.

Thanks,
Jazz

I got a really close up look at my baby's legs and butt from the bottom at my 12w ultrasound and there was no telling.  Could be because my RE's office uses 100 year old Fisher Price equipment though.  You might be able to tell on really good equipment...

I did not find out until 18 weeks but never asked either....I know of people that hace found out as early as you are anticipating...so go for it but keep asking on U/S....good luck!

I'm just a lurker, but hi! If the ultrasound is 4D you *might* be able to tell with a clear shot between the legs. My friend got an accurate answer at 13 weeks

My girlfriend was told at 12.5 and 15 weeks girl and as we speak she is nursing her 2 month old son...they were able to tell her boy at 21 weeks...the U/S tech said : "why do you keep saying she?" and then proceded to show a VERY obvious shot of boy parts! LOL

if you get a profile pic with a "nub" included you might be able to find out at WWW.ingender.com

ALL will have a nub so don't let that make you think boy if you see one. its something about the way it tilts or something. those girls are pros and seem to be right a lot.

you won't be able to tell before 12 weeks with the nub theory.  11 weeks...that was just a guess.

myself...I don't trust anything before 18 weeks.

hi Jazz, I had mine right before the cut off and the tech said if she were to guestimate she would say boy and sure enough she was right!  We found out for sure at 19 weeks! good luck!

Baby definately isn't developed enough for the full answer as you know...but the guess that some techs who have lots of experience give is based on the way the part angles (like somoene else said)...I was told girl....and girl it is (or at least we're praying- since we've had multiple u/s that confirm later).  Good luck and I hope they are able to give you a guestimate for fun.
