About once a day I get this weird feeling like my heart physically flipped over in my chest and I feel slightly numb (not as in a cold chill, as in my brain sort of zones out for half a second... I have a feeling this part of it is soully my body's natural anxiety reacting to the strange feeling because it's sort of like the beginning of an anxiety attack). I don't know what it is. It only lasts for a second or two and I suck in a deep breath to calm myself down which seems to help.... but what could it be?? And why?

I had a lot of palpatations throughout my pregnancy.  My OB said it was normal.  Everything seems to be "normal" when pregnant.  *shrug*

I have it constantly.  It is due to the increased blood supply in your body, your heart has to work harder and so sometimes it does weird heartbeats.  Mine feels like it is skipping a beat all the time, especially when I lay on my left side.

Palpatations are not something to ignore.  Seek medical advise on this one.  I am and relieved to finally seek out some assistance.  I've had heart palpatations since I was young but recently went through a full 3 week period of nothing but.  So far so good.  I saw my doctor and had a heart monitor I wore for 24 hours.  It was very small and I was able to hid it from the world.  I also had a blood work up to have my thyroid checked.  Next I see a cardiologist.  A little nervous but I'm feeling a sense of relief to finally resolve what this is all about.  I quit caffein quite a number of weeks ago so I know that's not it.  I'll keep you posted if you'd like.  Wish me luck!
