Ovulation question
My cycles were 36 days. The month I got pg it was 39. I was supposed to get a pos OPK on CD 18, didn't get it til CD 21 and by that time I thought all hope was lost, low and behold that was our lucky month. My cycles had always been 36 days before that month. Sometimes things are just screwie. I would keep testing for a couple more days!

Ok :) I will keep testing and officially wait until Sunday before freaking out and looking for clomid on the black market! LOL! Just kidding.... kinda.... :)
I don't want to bug my RE just yet as I know we can get preggo on our own - it happened twice last year!

A positive OPK doesn't indicate ovulation, only an LH surge, which means that ovulation is likely (but not guaranteed) to occur within (usually) 12-36 hours. So yes, you can have the surge with no ovulation. Some who also chart temps keep POAS until they see their temps do the right thing - which I have no idea what it is as I don't chart temps :)

I tested twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I got my surge the evening of Day 14. We were doing IUI so we went in the next day. I think that the twice a day is helpful because sometimes you can miss the surge if you test really early, or you may get the back end of one and time things too late. Just a few thoughts.
