Breast feeding after c-section
Oh yeah, you can still breastfeed. When you have your c-section they put a pain med in your spinal - like morphine or another one if you have a morphine allergy. Because it is in your spine, not much gets into the blood stream and it lasts for longers. When it wears off they will give you meds that are safe for breastfeeding.
I have had two c-sections and breastfed both - one for a year, one for 14 months. It is not easy at first because of the pain in your belly and because you have any IV in your arm. But you can do it! :)

I, unfortunately, had a c-section and successfully breastfed for over 5 months. You can still do it. I was very good about taking my pain meds too because I needed them, and I have a high tolerance for pain. It hurt to get in and out of bed for a few weeks, and I was getting up every 3-4 hours to feed the baby. Good luck :-) It will all be fine.
