Hey Ladies,

Lately I have been having off and on "slight" pains in lower pelvic area. Alot of you already know my journey up to this point. I read that this could be my uterus growing and that it is normal.. however I dont want to take a chance. My gynie (who I saw up to my first trimester) no longer delivers. I have a new gynie and I am scheduled to see her on 11.09.09. I haven't seen my gynie since 9.23.  I called the new gynie to see if I could get an earlier appointment or should I go to my first trimester gynie and be seen or go to an ER. The administrative staff pissed me off so badly, they were like well, you are technically not a patient and our ER is open 24 hours.. and I am thinking to myself "Yes Ms B*tch" so is everyone elses ER in the US.  I then broke down and started crying. Do you think they gave a damn ? Hell to the No. Anyways, I contacted my OB (first trimester one) and I have an appointment scheduled with her this Friday and then I will go in on 11.09 with the new OB and tell her my experience prior to seeing her. Oh and this is the same place I had my f*ckking surgery (sorry for the language, just so mad).

Since 2/12/08. I have went from 364 to 210. Thank You RNY!

You did the right thing. Your nervous and you want answers and your going to get them. What I can tell you, which I hope reassures you, is I often get pains in my lower pelvic area. And mine aren't slight..they downright hurt like hell. Those are off and on. I also have realized that my uterus just hurts...like all day just hurts. Called my Dr. and spazed. She told me not to worry about it, both pains are completely and uterly normal. She said these pains are due to round ligament pains and not to worry unless there is any bleeding along.

Hope thats all that your feeling too.

Any time you feel like something isnt right during your pregnancy you should be able to call the staff at the office and have reassurance.  They sure put you in a tuff spot though because you are between offices.  Many moons ago I had an experience while in the process of changing offices. My change was because I didnt trust the first office- so how nice was it to have to turn to them in a time of need.  It sucked!  Anyways- I just wanted to let you know that it is completely normal to be having some pains- for many weeks I had menstral type cramps, then I had stretching pains, then well I had unidentified pressure pain- and I told DH I needed to have it checked...well I found that issue myself before the Dr...(reference on the board to what is the blue twinkie a few weeks back- ah yeah)  Pregnancy is a thrilling journey- each of my pregnancies have been different, but some of the common things are the cramps, aches (pains)...but at the end we hopefully have a healthy happy baby. And I have found that ER are crap @ss places for pregnant woman (between the influx of germs, and the lack of maternial fetal medicine experience).  Sending positive thoughts to you!

Always follow your gut feeling.  If you felt that you needed some medical attention, you were in every right to get it.  I have also experienced alot of pain and soreness.  Sometimes the pains are sharp.  My OB said that it is just the stretching and pulling from my uterus growing and my body expanding.  As long as you aren't bleeding, you probably don't need to worry too much.

However, do whatever it takes to put your mind at ease.

Take care!
