34 week update

34 week update on Bryder. We had another ultrasound today. He measured right on track and everything looked great! According to the tech he is weighing in at 5 pounds 1 oz. and is in the 40th precentile (whatever that means?)

He is keeping my induction date for 39 weeks on December 2nd! Funny thing is.....Skyler was born on October 2nd so, they will be to the day, exactly 14 months apart!

I've gained right at 30 lbs......yuck!! I about puked when the scale read 159! Oh well......no sense in crying over it now. It's all for a good reason.....my sweet baby boy!

I'm curious to see how fast this labor and delivery is? From start to finish was 4 hours with Skyler. I hope Bryder comes sooner....I'm ready to hold him!

So much to do! 5 weeks is just around the corner.....

sounds like a great appointment!!

I think that the 40% percentile means that he is bigger then 40% of babies and smaller then 60%.

You are correct! I googled it.

It says the 50th percentile is equal to a 7 lb baby which is considered average-normal size for a full term baby. So, if he gains 1/2 to1 pound in the last 5 weeks he will be born in right on the 50th percentile mark and roughly 7 lbs just like the tech and my OB said.

DD#1 was 5 lbs 11.5 oz. at 39 weeks
DD#2 was 5 lbs 10.3 oz. at 39 weeks

So if he is born weighing anything over what they weighed I'm totally happy!

Sounds like he is growing just right. We get our last ultrasound Monday. Then hope for inducing at around the 18th of Nov. I know you will love holding him. Know how you feel for sure!!!

That all sounds wonderful! See? I do grow em big! LOL! Mine are already 5.5+ lbs each - with TWO placentas and sacs. :-) I can't believe how tiny your other ones were.

Anyway, I wish my scale said 159! Hell, 179! Mine said 207 this morning with a weight gain of 47 lbs. GROSS! This bedrest thing is NOT helping the situation.

Well, glad to hear all is well with little Bryder!! Not much longer!

LOL, my DH doesn't produce large babies. My 2 step daughters were also in the 5 lbs range. No connection to me there. Bryder will be the biggest of all of the kids. I will take whatever as long as he is healthy...

You do have big babies girl! That's good for twins too.

You don't have much longer either......it's so exciting!
