Just found out!
Congrats. You are gonna be fine. Of course follow your dr. and nutritionist advice. In general it is super important to take prenatals with folic adic. Also it is important to eat some good carbs now (whole grains/fruit)...that contradicts our early post op instructions...but it is important that your body doesn't go into ketosis while pg, it is bad for baby. If they want you to increase your calories a bit, then if you can tolerate milk it is a good way to add calories and protein without having to eat. Also, they should check your vitamin levels regularly. You probably still have a reserve, but baby will take what it needs and you don't want to suffer. I have had to add b-12, iron, and vitamin d during this pg. This is a great forum, you will have lots of questions. Good luck and keep us posted. Shari
Congratulations! You've gotten some great advice already. I also found that trying to eat smaller meals much more frequently helped during PG, especially if morning sickness kicks in, and have labs checked more frequently.
Wishing you a healthy 9 months and I look forward to sharing in your journey!

I stopped into the surgons office and all the ladies were cool but they said he will be mad. My Nut told me to remove one of my daily vitamins and add a prenatel. Other then that all should be good. (I thought there would be more to it) I have an appointment with the nurse at the ob on the 11th and a dr appointment on the 16th. Then from there I will be classified High Risk. The journey has started!
