32 week ultrasound

I went in today for my first NST and a growth scan. Baby was VERY active! They could barely do the NST! lol! The baby's heart rate was great tho. I also got to hear hiccups for the very first time! That was sooo cute! I then went down to have an ultrasound/growth scan done. The baby had a half hour to pass all the requirements. Baby had to show that it was practicing breathing for 30 seconds, extend its arms or legs, move at least 2 times and some other things I cannot remember. Well my baby got a perfect score (8/8) within 5 minutes! It was so fun too because the tech zoomed in on baby's face and I could see the baby moving its mouth and licking its lips. I also got to see the baby's feet wiggling all around. I found out that the pressure I feel under my right rib when I sit is the baby's rump! haha! I am on cloud 9 right now! I love our baby sooo much already. I feel like the luckiest person on the planet!

YAH that's soo exciting I am glad your baby is doing sooo good. I wish I could see my little girl on an u/s :( Soon you will be holding him/her. YAH!!!

very exciting!!! I just went for my 12 week ultrasound.......  did you find out the sex? or are you going to let it be a surprise?  So is that normal to get one at 32 weeks?  Is it 12 weeks, then 20 weeks and also 32 weeks?   I'm just trying to figure out when I can have another one....

Hi! Thank you for the post! We are letting the sex be a surprise actually. As for the ultrasounds I have gotten quite a few of them just because I was only 2 1/2 months post op when I found out we were pregnant. I got my first one at 8 weeks then my 2nd at 20 weeks then every 6 weeks going forward from there and now they want one every wee****il delivery just to ensure baby stays healthy and no complications arise. It's not normal to get that many ultrasounds unless something seems wrong, unfortunately. I consider myself very lucky to be able to see my baby every week. :-)

I was surprised with the sex also.  It was sooo much fun delivering my little boy.  I had about 14 ultrasounds in all and never found out.  At one of my last ones at the advice of a friend I had them put a copy of what it was in an envelop and seal it to be opened after delivery.  When I got home I hid it from family.  Once I knew I could find out at any moment I had no desire to know.  It was a lot of fun to open it after delivery and now I have it for the album.

I think leaving the sex a surprise for the day the baby is born will be a lot of fun! I hope it will also help with the delivery and making it more fun and exciting if that makes sense.

I am happy baby is doing well!! I love getting my monthly ultrasounds. We also have done 2 3d ultrasounds on our own outside the doctors office just so we can see what she looks like in that way. I think it is so fun!! Happy your baby is doing so well!!!

I only found out the sex on my very last pregnancy...the rest were all surprises.   I had a lot of fun with it...going with old wives' tales to find out the sex and what not.   We just kind of made it a game.  Unfortunately, with the last one...the tech kept calling him a "he", so we knew it was a boy lol  I decided to go the "old fashioned" way  just for fun.  I think it is just a personal preference.  I always figured I would be the one they told I was having a girl and I would do the nursery in pink and it would come out a boy...lol...so I decidded to just wait :)
