Dr. Appt Today!!!!
My appt was at 1:30, when I got there they told me my appt was at 9 and I missed it. I know for a FACT I never made it for 9 being that I have class from 9-11:30 on Tuesdays, but my favorite OB was able to see me so it was fine.
I was a little worried today when I went in for my appt.
First of all I'm getting sick again, pretty sure it's a sinus infection so he gave me an antibiotic. But since my last appt I was on Tamiflu, then got both flu shots, so I was paranoid something was wrong with the baby.
Then yesterday I started getting REALLY short of breath, and my heart started racing, while I was just sitting there in bed. It lasted for hours. But the OB assured me that is completely normal.
Then me, my hubby and my mom got to hear the heartbeat! It was louder than last time and the baby kept flipping around so we would get it for a minute, then we'd lose it, then we would hear it again, it was so cute.
Awesome news though, he suggested I see the high risk OB a couple of times that way
I can get a couple more ultrasounds and I can chill out, plus I've been having a few issues with my hypoglycemia, better to be safe than sorry.
Also we get to find out the gender at 19 weeks on December 1at the high risk OB!!!! We cannot wait!!!!!
In 2 weeks I go in for the down syndrome and genetic disorders blood test, I'm a little nervous about that.
Thanks ladies
Karen

Sounds like everything is going great. Just wait until the baby gets big enough to insert their opinion about those exams- every time they try to listen to my baby she kicks the crap out of their device and rearranges herself until she is comfie again. The one Dr gets the biggest laugh out of it and says "okay I'll leave you alone, I heard it long enough". Ironically, I loved my high risk Dr's the best and the regular Dr's their personality about pregnancy sucks. The genetic stuff- don't worry over it....it already is what. it is. I hope you feel better soon. Just wait until you can feel the baby move around- I can't wait to see that post!
Feel better soon- oh, and on the SOB and heart racing, I have that every pregnancy- it scares the crap out of me in the beginning..just a start of them having their way with your body. Soon limbs will be in places that aren't nice.
