I think it's creative that you did that. A lot of costumes are for 3 months or older and don't allow to dress up a newborn.
Firstly, it doesn't look like a doggie costume, and secondly, some of the doggie costumes are cuter than the ones for babies. I see them and want to buy a dog just to dress them up!

My mother bought my dog a lion costume. I swear! What was she thinking? I'll be spending thousands of dollars at the shrink now with all her identify issues! She's CANINE mom! Not FELINE! Geez!
