Liz,

Feel better soon.  What a sweetheart your husband is to bring you roses.  I think that's the best!

I am not sick (yet) but I just found out about 2 hours ago that a whole family I work with (I am a case manager) has been diagnosed with the swine flu....I freaked immediately as I have been around them in the last week or so, so I called my OB. She is putting me on tamaflu and then I will get my H1N1 and flu shot next friday when I am about to be 9 weeks.

Needless to say, I am freaking out about this and just want nothing for health for me and my baby...

Tell your boss that he should stay home with all this deathly flu going around.....and take care of yourself.

I am staying home for the rest of the week to rest and hopefully avoid any flu coming on....

I'm on day 6 of being sick with "flu like symptoms" (tested negative for the flu). I saw my PCP but kept my OB in the loop. I was only allowed Tylenol for the fever and body aches, Benadryl for the cold symptoms and a saline nasil flush for the congestion -> which feels wonderful, seriously!

I started on AMoxil yesterday ....

I was told NO DECONGESTANTS!

Hope you're feeling better soon!

That's soo rude. Wwhen my family had they stayed home. I hate when people are sick and have a fever and come to work or go out. IF YOUR SICK STAY HOME!!! DUH!! That just irks me. I can understand a cold that's under control with meds but knowing the swine flu's going around just be more cautious.
Sorry Liz just wash wash wash. AND LYSOL!!!
Sorry and Good Luck

Buy a box of hospital masks.  Wear one to work and write on the outside with a Sharpie "Germ-Free Zone".  Seriously.   True story:  I had a co-worker who prided herself on not missing a day of work in 3 years (some people just set normal goals, ya know?!).  She came in to work with all sorts of ailments and illnesses and I shared an office with her.  When I was PG with my first and had my 3rd cold in 4 months thanks to this co-worker, I bought the masks and wore them.  A week later, she called in sick.

I hope you feel better soon!

Hugs,

Jo

Thanks Jo. I wouldn't mind if he came in sick but stay in your office! That's what the rest of us do - we have an intercom so he can call and talk to me on speaker phone all he wants!

I like the mask idea!

Thanks ladies - keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get sick!
