OT: Toddler's and tantrums
Ok ladies....
the dreaded happened last night. We were at the mall and my nephew wanted a cinderella wand LOL but it was a $1.00 so I said yes, then Nylah wanted one so I told him to get her one. He gave it to her and she wanted his as well. So I told her one for you and one for Ian, she didn't want to hear that and started screaming top of lungs, and threw it. So I left it on the floor and kept walking she kept saying "toy" and I said no you threw it means you don't want it. Well my nephew went back and picked it up...ok I let him give it to her because he was just being so thoughtful. Well when we finally got to the car she again wanted both, threw the one she had on the floor then I took it away. She started screaming at the top of her lungs so bad the baby started shaking and shivering. I pulled over, there was no stopping this tantrum, I wanted to pull my hair out. She has been so whiny lately and I hope its just a stage because it's really making me feel like I am doing something wrong! Has anyone experienced this? I don't want to take her to the store any more, she always stands in the cart and wants to get out and does this cute little "mommy" thing. Gosh and I thought it got easier when they got older, no wonder why people say they like babies

I am sooo sorry you had to go through that. I probably wouldve pulled my hair out, so the fact that you handled the situation so well...I say kudos to you. I think you did everything well. I have no kids yet of my own and my nephews never went through this stage thankfully (the one or two times the oldest did do it though we just ignored him...no attention...he quickly learned it gets him no where). Hope you find a solution though!

My daughter does the same stuff sometimes... If it's just her everything is fine but when it comes to her cousins or my friends kids she don't want to share and throws the fits like u just described... When's your daughters birthday? I think there just about the same age,My daughter Lola's b-day is April 2nd... I believe she is starting the terrible two's early...lol
I seen your ticker and I though man there about the same age... Yes her whining is getting bad. She has been pushing every button she can lately... Her dad works all day most of the time so she's home with me... She like to watch cartoon movies sometimes... Or I'll sit on the floor and play with her usually. Or we run errands and go for walks. Now it's getting colder out so walks are a lot shorter. But she sometimes is just so bad in stores she climbs out of the cart so I put her in the big part but then she tries to climb out of there...For some reason she listens to her daddy better then me... She is over all a very well behaved girl, but lately she's starting to get into more stuff. Just now she decided to sip milk out of her sippy cup and let it dribble down her chin on to my living room floor... I'm definitely not happy right now...She just started this the other day. She is sitting in time out which really isnt working yet...I don't know why she does that. I don't know if she is starting this because I haven't been feeling well lately from being pregnant and all. But when her dad gets home she is so well behaved... I dont get it...lol
I guess we seperated twins.
Nylah has been filling her mouth with whatever liquid is in her cup and dribbling it down her chin makes a huge mess then says "big mess" and laughs.
She like yours listens so well to her dad but he is the NAVY and not much around. A few months back I had posted on getting advice on how to get her to sleep in her own bed but when DH got home in August she went to her bed just fine after I had two months of fighting her and she just ended up in my bed anyways. So he had to leave again 2 weeks ago and here we are back to screaming and sleeping in my bed, literally the first night he was gone.
She throws things if she gets mad, she even hit the baby once. And that time she knew I was mad she actually sat in time out and just glared at me. We also have the same shopping cart problem. I don't want to take it personal but I don't want a monster when she gets older. Do you just ignore her when she whines?
