Is it me or would this irk you?

I have a group of friends in which we have all been friends for years.  We all g-mail back and forth almost daily under one thread.    We all got married around the same time.   We then started to have kids around the same time.

Obviously I'm pregnant and another friend (this is her first pregnancy) is just about 20 weeks pregnant.

So yesterday we are all chatting back and forth and everyone is asking the other girl about her pregnancy and how she's doing and feeling.   Not one person asked me how I was feeling.   So what, because this is my second pregnancy no one is supposed to ask if I have been feeling ok or my pregnancy is going alright?   I don't know, it just irked me.  It's not like these are just acquaintances either, I mean we all went on a vacation together, our husbands all know each other, etc.

That's shameful of them as friends!  A friend cares about you regardless of the situation- friends just want to know your hanging in there..hopefully, they will come to their senses.  We care..hope your feeling good- I have found my second pregnancy to be more challenging- but then again I never carried multiples either.

it would have irritated me too - if you are all corresponding on one thread then I would think it is right to involve everyone. Your pregnancy is just as special as the other ladies!

So how are you feeling? Is everything going ok with the baby? How are the twins? Ready to be the big brother and sister?

LOL

I'm fine.  I cannot complain (well I could, but I won't).  I love being pregnant and since this is my last pregnancy (because I'm never going through IVF again) it's bittersweet.   3 beautiful kids is nothing to sneeze at.

The twins are getting over colds, but they are the best.  They are trying so hard to walk by themselves, but they are just not there yet.  Soon.   Jack points and pats my belly and says baby.  Dylan just glares at it and giggles.

I would be annoyed...actually, I am a little annoyed for you! Friends shouldnt take each other for granted.  And I know how you feel with this being the last pregnancy...it truly is bitter sweet and you want to hang on to each GOOD moment of the experience.  I hope it continues to go well and your good friends start being a little more sensitive.   Blessings to you.

I would be pissed and hurt! I would reply to them all and just say... "I am doing great, thanks for asking!" LOL...

I love that Jack pats your belly and says baby.... and that Dylan just giggles. I am sure they will be walking in no time... Josiah has no desire. He stands alone for a while then realizes what he plops his butt on the floor. He is still walking on his tippy toes when I walk with him... He is so stubborn.

What is up with the tippy toes...Nathan is doing that too? He will maneuver down the couch and along the TV (turn it off, then on, then off) then plop....guess he takes after his daddy!!! :)

I dont know. I think it's one of those things that has a fine line. I think this pregnancy for me is bittersweet. My last, my first post op. But also I actaully look pregnant. But then some of my family and friends are like ohhh, this is your third no biggy for you. But it is.

I think your friend might be getting more attention because it is her first. Not yours. I hope this doesnt sound bad. I think your justified to feel hurt but Id let it slide. Just  remember you will be having this sweet little baby soon enough. That would be reason enough for me to blow it off.

I totally let it slide.  Otherwise I would have opened my mouth immediately yesterday to them.  LOL
