37 week update

I just had my appointment this morning. She checked me...still 1cm and 50% effaced. She also wanted to run labs for preeclampsia because my blood pressure was a little higher than my norm...waiting for those results. Then she asked me to go to triage/nst to be evaluated. I got my labs drawn then went to nst. I was having super regular contractions every 3 minutes for 45 minutes, but baby was doing what he was supposed to. They said the contractions are from my internal exam and should subside, so they sent me home. I really like this perientologist. She said she was so worried about me after our last apt that she called the best c-section doc and talked to him. She also made me a pre op appointment with him on the 6th, 4 days before my c-section so that I could talk to him about my worries. And she requested a second surgeon to be present for my c-section. We talked about me still being sick and the possibility that my vomiting spit is from anxiety attacks from stress. She tends to agree but would rather not put me on meds before the baby is born. She also still won't give me a flu shot why I am sick. I was lucky my mom was off work today because I can't take Emma to the triage. My mom is here now too, so I am going to rest and see if the cx will go away. I am sure they will call me if my lab results show preeclampsia. Now I kind of want to make it to my c-section date in 2 weeks because I like the idea of having 2 good surgeons and a plan to reduce the risk of complications. Anyway, will keep you posted. Shari

Shari - I am so glad that you and your little boy are doing OK. Keeping my fingers crossed that the blood work comes back normal and you can have your "team" there on the big day. Sounds like you are in fantastic hands!

Lot much longer until Emma will be a big Sissy!   I'll be praying that you will have a much easier recovery from the c-section.   Having two surgeons there sounds like a great thing.  I hope baby boy will stay cozy until the scheduled date.   Remind me what his name is going to be.

Wow, sounds like your peri is great!  Hope you make it to that date so you can have them both.  :-)  Keep us posted on the PE - hope you don't have it.  I have my NST, an ultrasound, and an OB appt tomorrow for my 34 weeks with the twins. I'm so excited to get off the couch!  LOL!

You are soooooo close and I pray your labs don't show PE - it SUCKS!  You're doing great and I'm glad you found a dr that is so thorough.  Hang in there and I can't wait for the next update.
