Baby Boy's 1 month appointment
Today Alex had his 1 month well baby visit. He is actually 7 weeks old as of today. Everything looks great. Though we are going to keep an eye on his "outie" bellybutton. To me it seems like it is growing more outwards and may be a possible hernia, but the doctor isn't really concerned yet and said to just monitor it to see if it gets bigger. He said he probably just has an "outie".
His weigh-in... boy is he growing fast. As you may recall, I spent the last 2 1/2 weeks in PA with my family. While I was down there, he had a growth spurt and outgrew all of his newborn clothing and diapers. His last few days he seemed to be going around wearing "belly shirts" because they kept rolling up on him! LOL.
His weight and length
Birth: 6lbs, 12oz Length: 19.25"
2 weeks: 7lbs, 5oz Length: 19.25"
7 weeks: 11lbs, 2oz Length: 21.25"
He is in the 50th percentile for his weight, and between the 25-50 percentile for his height.
Feeding... He has moved to a formula/rice mixture for 3 meals a day. He still will eat anywhere from 3-5 ounces, every 2-4 hours. With the cereal he goes more towards the 4 hr window. We are still feeding on demand and will continue to do so. At first, I was a bit leery of moving to the cereal at such a young age, especially because "everyone" says don't do it. But we started off slowly and he handles it great, and funny enough, my sister's pediatrician for her daughters told her the same exact thing, and she lives 500 miles away. As long as he is happy and healthy.
Sleeping habits... Saturday, Alex was moved from our bedroom and bassinet into his nursery and his own crib. He has slept so well for the last 2 nights. He goes down between 9-10:30pm and wakes up between 3-4am for a feeding and then goes back down and wakes up at 8am for the day. I hope this last for a few more days so I can catch up on some sleep.

Sounds like Alex is doing great! Isn't it funny how one day they can wear their clothes and the next day they can't, Lucas did the same thing all of the sudden he couldn't wear his clothes anymore.
I hope his sleeping habits stay good for you, we aren't there yet...boohoo!
Glad you updated!! Alex is too cute!
Oh thanks for posting on the picture too, it makes me crack up every time I see it!
