Thanks for asking. They're still not sure what's going on. They did an internal ultrasound which didn't show much cause the baby's so small this early but she said she thought she saw the baby. My cervix was closed which was good she said. There was blood on the probe they used for the ultrasound and so she saw what I was talking about. It concerns her but she said at this point it's really hard to tell. They drew blood and I have to go back again on Wed to see if the levels went up. They said as of now, my levels are normal for how far along I am, but if they go down then it's not good, if they go up like they're supposed to then everything could be fine. Most of the spotting now is brownish, not the bright red anymore which I guess is good. I'm just at the point right now where I'm preparing for the worst but still hoping for the best. I'll know more Wed after I get my blood drawn again and they check the levels.
Tami - last time I had an internal the OB told me that I have a very sensitive cervix and there was blood as well - it passed quickly and baby is doing fine - I'll be 11 weeks friday. She also told me that I will probably have blood with a vaginal ultrasound and internal exams as well as possibly with sex.
Hoping that all is well and those numbers go up Up UP!

I had 5 pregnancies and 2 live births as they call them. My first was a tubal and did not double every two days like it should, although it did go up. I actually bled so much pregnant they had to give me 2 blood transfusions.
Then I had another miscarrage and my blood levels never reached "normal".
My third pregnancy was my oldest son. My levels were normal and I bled the whole first trimester and a great deal of my second. So much so that during the second trimester they put me on bed rest and third trimester I kept going into labor and they put me on meds. When they took me off at 35 weeks, I had him a few days later. He is perfectly healthy and fine. Oh yah, after the first two pregnancies they put me on meds the first trimester to keep him.
My 4th never hit normal levels either. Even with the pregnazone, I lost that one.
Then came my 5th pregnancy. More drugs, some bleeding the first trimester, none the second. I kept going into labor in the end with him too. No meds the last of it though. Just more bed rest. He was born at 37 weeks.
Now, we're done. I'm happy with my 2 perfect babies and I wouldn't change any of it. The hard times make the results more sweet. I'm not a doctor, but if your blood levels are normal, I wouldn't worry. :)
Best baby wishes to you!
