Stupid question...

Good Morning,

Well I tested again this morning using a dollar tree test and a FRED and got positives on both so I am assuming I am pregnant...Thing is I don't really have many symptoms....I have af type cramps...Feel like af is going to start but its not so far....I am so tired but that is not unusual for me either. I had an Iron Infusion 10 days ago. You don't think that could be giving me a positive result...I know there is not HCG in the infusion but just so surprized at getting the positive....I had to have IVF with last pregnancy but then I never ovulated on my own and was also 150lbs heavier....Thanks for listening to me vent...

I had PCOS and hardly ever ovulated on my own before surgery as well.  After losing about 80lbs....apparently I started ovulated, b/c I ended up preggo 4 mos. after surgery!  
I didn't feel any symptoms early on in pregnancy, it def. took a couple of weeks....but the symptoms kicked in eventually :)

Congrats.  I think you are in shock and that is normal considering you had IVF last time.  Heck, I was in shock with this one and didn't have IVF the first time.  When people drop weight it can change they way they ovulate and it looks like it has worked for you.

You need to make sure you get some labs done to see if you are low on any other vitamins.  How often were they planning on doing the infusions?  Most doctors will prefer you wait until the second trimester to have any additional infusions.

No, the infusion is not going to give you a positive.  I had infusions right around the time I was finding out I was pregnant too. (I did have IVF) and I'm 30 weeks.   So, I'm going to say congrats, you're pregnant!   

Thanks to all of you for your advice and encoragement...I think I will call the doctor this am and see if they will order a blood test....I'm supposed to see a hematologist on wednesday to find out about continuing the iron infusion. I just has one dose of 400mg of venofer. My PCP was waiting for hematologist to do other labs....

I had to have the venofer over a period of 10-12 weeks.  If they have you on a similar plan, they may hold off for several weeks.  That will make the exhaustion from the first trimester even worse, but they'll do what's best for baby.  I can tell my iron is dropping so we are doing my iron levels including ferritin every four weeks to see when, (not if), we will need to do more infusions.

Congrats!    I had AF type cramps with both of my pregnancies.   Both times I just knew I would be bleeding the next time I went to the bathroom.

I would say congrats!!!

Congrats!  Yes- WLS definitely changes a lot of woman's ability to conceive.  My Dr's covered all of that when I went through their process.  Get those labs in order, and stay healthy- it looks like your pregnant.
