I'm sad and nervous

Early Sunday morning, I went to the bathroom and noticed bright red blood when I wiped. I had to get up several times more during the night to pee, as I didn't sleep well after that and the bleeding was bright like that again once, then it started to go away. I was house sitting at my in laws for the weekend out of state so I called my doctor and talked to the nurse on call. They are going to try to fit me in tomorrow for an ultrasound to see if everything is ok. I have a feeling it's not ok. I've felt like this wasn't real for awhile. I am not sick like I was with my daughter and it's just different feeling. I guess I'll find out more tomorrow. Do you always have cramps if you're miscarrying and if so are they bad cramps or just little ones? I've been having some super mild cramps today now that the bleeding has gone away but it's still making me nervous.

Tami,

I bled on and off bright red for about a month with my first pregnancy. It wasn't at 5 weeks though, it was closer to ten. But I know that a lot of ladies have had a little bleeding and been fine. It is good news that it stopped. I have also noticed that each pregnancy is different. I hardly had any sickness with my first, but this time around I feel like sh*& all the time!! Don't give up yet! I know the feeling. I have never cried as much in my life as when I thought I was losing my daughter. Good luck, and let us know.

Sending positive thoughts...no it seems every m/c has the potential to be different.  Mine started with two streaks of brown, and nothing else.  Just no HB when I went to the Dr.  Good luck, let us know.

I wish I could give you an answer but do not have one. I have seen both positive and negative outcomes in situations like these and there is no harm in maintaining hope. Thoughts and well wishes headed your way. Hope all is well.

I bleed on and off all the time and have made it to 28 weeks healthy.  It could be something, could be nothing.  Mine is a sensitive cervix.  Don't give up, each pregnancy is different!  You may be just not as sick or the same with this one.
