has anyone that has had the rny successfully been able to breast feed there little one because I heard that rnys cant produce breast milk so i was just woundering

I've never heard that before? In fact, i'm sure there are several ladies here who have successfully BF and I plan to as well ..

oh ok because i heard through a family friend that we couldnt produce milk it just concerned me .

rny has nothing to do with it.. you either can or cant... there are quite a few girls on here who have choose to bf and have done it over a year...:)

I couldn't produce much with my first pregnancy but I was EARLY out and only eating 800 calories a day if I was lucky (post-natal).  But I've read MANY women here have breastfed with much success.
