Got my H1N1 vaccine today

After all the hype I decided it was the best thing to do, and so did the 1,000 other people at the school today.

I've never seen so many little babies in one place before and everyone was freaking out because the only people getting the mercury free vaccine was pregnant women.

Any way it took 2 hours in line, but I'm glad it's over with!!!  I'm getting my seasonal flu shot tomorrow.

 Good for you girlie!  I wanted to get mine today but I've been sick for the past week :(  so they say not to get it if you're sick, so I'll have to wait!  

WOOOOO HOOOOO...I don't think ours gets here until this week (and we live in the same place as the CDC...go figure).....

Just curious, I heard that we were suppose to wait a few weeks between the H1N1 and the seasonal flu shot....is that true? I got my seasonal flu one....just curious....

PS I just googled for awhile on the waiting period and it looks like the waiting period has lifted....check with doc for sure but good news!

I was told you can actually get them on the same day, I'm getting my seasonal flu shot today!

I have to wait until I am out of my first trimester but will be calling my PCP to schedule them both tomorrow.

I am so glad you where able to get in! We got there at 8 in the morning and where still like 50th in line, although when we pulled out of the parking lot there was already almost 1000 people lined up! I knew it was going to be busy, but NEVER imagained it would be like that. I got the mercury free because I am breastfeeding, but some people where walking away and freaking out because they where not offering it to everyone.

My older kids need to get a second shot, but they are not offering another clinic in this area for over a month, so I am going to be keeping an eye out for other ones around the state. What a PITA!

When I was there the one volunteer there said they were doing another one in Howell.  Not sure when though.  I'm glad you got the mercury free one.  I got the seasonal flu shot yesterday with the mercury tho, no fish for me this week!

When I got to the school I said to DH "tell me this line is NOT for the vaccine" but low and behold.  We stood for 2 hours in line, then waited in the cafeteria for another 40 minutes.  I'm glad that's OVER with though.  By the time we were in the cafeteria, they were running out of mercury free shots so the pregnant women got to go first.  I was surprised they weren't asking for proof of pregnancy, b.c I SOOO did not believe some of those people LOL. 

Anyway now I feel like crap, think I'm coming down with a cold.  Such is life.
