Most of our local hospitals have done this. The exception is siblings visiting there new siblings.

My parents and other family live around here but I cannot count on any "one" Person to be able to help. IT could take a few hours to get someone. I have one in school and one in daycare.

MY husband is leaving sat for a new job in Florida. So i cant count on him either.

I sadly enough agree that the hospitals shouldnt allow young kids in the hospital. Its so risky.  What happens if a nurse from OB comes in contact with a nurse from ICU who has very sick people. And a child has coughed, sneezed or spread germs. It could be and probably has been deadly.

I wouldnt want to be the family member either way but its something that has to be done.

I'll come babysit! your kids are flippin adorable!

That would suck if I wasn't able to see my sister or brother in the hospital when they were born.

But on the positive side, they will all have a lifetime together to be with each other!

UGH! The situation you are in sucks. I can see the reasoning but heck, I was out and about this past weekend and I didn't know I had the flu! I wouldn't have gone to the hospital being a little sick like I was but people are stupid. Is it so hard to understand unless you are going to the hospital for yourself, if you are sick stay home?!?! I know I had surgery in Jan and they had sanitizer all over the place that they asked EVERYONE use.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

If my intention was to "rub salt" in it, I would have done a better job and made it much clearer.

That stinks Julie!  I hope your parents can make it in time.  It would terrible for your hubby to have to drop you off at the ER and then take the twins back home.   Maybe there is an exception for siblings?

I know I am late responding but here is our plan if they ban our kids from the hospital. My husband is bringing a video camera and we are going to record a message to them from me, introducing our new LO. I know it is not the same but I wanted them to at least see the baby and know that I am okay. My doctors keep you in the hospital for 4 days after a c-section, so we are all going to miss each other.
