yeah! That's so exciting to get an ultrasound, I'm glad your baby looks great! I can't wait to get my first one, it's so scary waiting and hoping all is fine.

Hi Liz,
I had the first of my monthly appts today as well. She recommeded both flu shots... I am still a little nervous about the H1N1 vaccine though...and like you, I'm just going to give in and get it. She did say to get the actual shot for H1N1 and not the nasal spray.
I didn't get an ultrasound today...lucky you...but will Tuesday for the Nuchal Translucency scan and can't wait to see the little bean!
I'm glad to hear everything went well!! Will you have to continue to go to a high risk ob throughout your entire pregnancy?

My OB wants to be extra precautious so I will see the HR OB monthly for an ultrasound through the entire pregnancy. From now on I only see the tech for the ultrasound, yesterday I had a consult with the Dr himself too.
HE also told me no nasal spray as that is made with a "live" flu strain instead of the "Dead" one in the shot.
GOod luck with the test on tuesday! We opted out of the testing because I am on the younger side (29) and no family history.

Glad to hear you had a good appointment and got to see your baby. I don't know why, but the ultrasounds from the first half of my pregnancy seemed to mean more to me than the ones from the second half. I think because the reassurance helped put my mind at ease when I was all wigged-out over every little thing.
For what it's worth, I have had the seasonal flu shot and have a tentative date for the H1N1 next week. Just today, my OB showed me the band-aid on his arm from his H1N1 vaccine yesterday.
Your baby's u/s/ pic looks fabulous...congrats!
