Anyone use Metformin ????

I just wanted to add... If you do end up taking Metformin I personally prefer the extended release version vs the regular metformin. But if you do use the regular metformin PLEASE ease into it- otherwise it may give you a little stomach bubbling+++.

Take half the dose everyday until your body is use to it. (Approx 3 days to a week)

But it definitely works!! I got pregnant on my first round of Metformin and Femara.

That's a very common option for women with PCOS. I used to have to take it but my labs are normal now and my periods were pretty regular ever since I lost the first 20 lbs. Usually the symptoms of PCOS (like infertility) go away after weight loss, so it's odd that you may still have it. Were you irregular when you weren't on the pill?

yea i dont even know if i have it she just wantd to test to make sure i dont but i went for the glucose test the other day not knowing the drink they give u is alllll SUGAR and i had to drink it in 5 min..so needless to say i yacked it all up ...like u think my doc would have known that i had rny and i cant tolerate the sugar so now i have to see how else they are going to test for it cuz i cant do that again...yes i was irregular before the pill however that was 10 years ago when i was a teenager and i was much heavier too...the only reason she suggested it was b/c i stopped th pill 2 mths ago and still have not gotten my period...so we will see i have to call her today to see what she wants me to do
