To test or not to test...
I'm wondering if I should take a home preg. test... Had some pale pink spotting on Oct. 1st (that was the only day) and normally would have started my period around Oct. 8th. So, I am about 2 weeks late but no symptoms except being exhausted but that could easily be from work and school; I've gone online and read what early symptoms should be; I might be experiencing some but then again, is it just feel low from not eating right and surgery combination???
I went off BC in May and my periods have been fairly regular ever since. Before WLS it was irregular w/out being on BC. I am a year out from WLS as of tomorrow... and one motivation of having the surgery was to start a family. Wondering if I should wait a few more weeks to test... maybe wait till after Nov 8th?
Biggest fear is being disappointed... you know? Any advise?

Personally if you are two weeks late I would take a test, it might be good news, if you are fairly regular in your periods and this is abnormally long then it might be a good sign. And remember when your reading what to expect and what are pregnancy signs remember not everyone experiences them, and not everyone has those signs at the same time.

The spotting could have been implantation spotting. I would test if I were you. The earlier you find out, the better. If you are pg, you need to make sure you are including enough healthy carbs to avoid ketosis. If you are trying to conceive, make sure you are taking a folic acid supplement in addition to your regular vitamins.
Are you kidding...TEST! Yes- I do understand the fear of disappointment...However, most ladies on here test early, and retest until the witch shows. So- Keeping my fingers crossed- but it sounds positive. I usually dont have early symptoms besides cramps- because I usually dont get those. I also agree it's important to know now verse later, you might have to make a few changes to your routine (more vits, carbs, Dr's, etc). Let us know & thanks for getting us excited with you.
Go pee on a stick right now!!!!!! and let us know what happens!!!!

I would most definately test. I thought I had started my period about 5 days before I was supposed to start and then it stopped after 3 days so the day I was supposed to actually get my period, I tested and sure enough it was positive. So I think it could be something similar to what I experienced. Good luck to you!
Thank you for all your support... I haven't wanted tell any friends or family until I know something (positive)... don't want everyone excited over nothing, you know? Nonetheless, I am going on my lunch break today and buy a test and probably take it then too... I will let you know how it turns out later this afternoon.
