HI EVERYONE. IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I ENTER THIS FORUM. I HAD MY RNY 8 MONTHS AGO I'VE GONE FROM 293 TO 174LBS WHICH IM VERY HAPPY ABOUT. AND NOW AFTER 16 YEARS WITH MY HUSBAND I'M 4 WKS PREGNAT!!
I'M SO HAPPY AND EXCITED THAT SOME TIMES I CANT STILL BELIEVE IT. SOMETIMES I THHINK THAT ITS JUST MY HEAD, BUT AFTER 2 URINE TEST AND 2 BLOOD TESTS I DONT THINK THERE IS ANY DOUBT. ESPECIALLY WITH ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS.MY BREAST, TIRENESS AND MORNING SICKNESS!!!(ALL DAY LONG)
FOR THE PAST 2 DAYS IT SEEMS THAT I CANT KEEP ANY FOOD DOWN IN FACT MY WEIGHT HAD BEEN STABLE FOR THE PAST 3 1/2 WKS BUT THIS WEEK I LOST 2LBS MORE. I GOT MY FIRST PRENATAL ON THURSDAY DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS TO KEEP MY FOOD DOWN? (BY THE WAY I CAN'T STAND THE SMELL F ONION)
ANYWAY A LOT PEOPLE TELL ME DIFFERENT THINGS BUT NONE OF THEM HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SURGERY THAT WE HAVE. THANKS

Congrats and I am right there with ya!! STart eating carbs. My Dr reccomended what she called the "early pregnancy diet" crackers, toast, potatoes, rice and pasta. TOTALLY not WLS friendly but it is all that I can keep down. She told me if I have to eat 1 cracker every 1/2 hour and that's all I get down that day it is OK for a bit. Make sure you are getting as much fluid in as possible. She suggested sucking on ice chips, licking an ice pop a few times everytime you walk past the freezer, tiny sips of water throughout the day

Good luck and hope you feel better! Unfortunately the worst is probably yet to come. I was told weeks 8-10 are usually the worst morning sickness (ALL FREAKIN DAY! Lol) wise.

 Congratulations! That's so wonderful!
I told my husband I couldn't conceive, but I did. With the help of fertility meds though.

I haven't had any nausea yet. But like the last post said, carbs! Strangely, I've been craving potato stuff..I was just thinking I better pay attention to my protein...in fact, chocolate milk sounds good...hmmm

good luck and hope you feel better!
