As long as they are braxton hicks they are totally normal.  Braxton begins at time of conception its your uterus working out for child birth you just dont notice them until your further along.  Now, should they get unbearable going on for one hour, lasting a minute and five minutes apart or you have bleeding or fluid leaking you'll be fine.

I've been having contractions since 22 weeks.  I'm 26 weeks today.  This is not normal according to my doctor.  If you have more than 6 in one hour or more than 4 in twenty minutes you should go into labor and delivery to be checked.  It's better to be safe.  Good luck.

I was the same way - I freaked out when I started having BH's. But as long as they are BH's and not real labor pains, you are ok - they prepare you for real labor.
