My very good friend lives down the road from me on post and has gotten my mail and checked my house every other day for the last month and a half. She's awesome I LOVE her family. Her husband is my hubbys VERY good friend. I love her kids and trust her to watch Isabella (One of the only people I trust). Anyways back to my question. I want to make/get them something for doing that for us. They are kind of dieting otherwise I was going to do a cookie/goodie basket. ANY IDEAS ARE GOOD IDEAS???
Thanks
Jessica

Go to the local farmers market and make them up a basket of fresh fruits and veggies.   Just because someone is dieting doesn't mean they cannot get a goodie basket.   LOL

what about making your own "edible arrangement" slice fruit and use cookie cutters to cut it out - put on shish kebob skewers and make a pretty arangement!

I agree with a fruit basket and you can add in other things like a gourmet type trail mix.....

I've made some really cool 'flower' baskets w/veggies...you cut up the veggies to look like flowers, stick them on wooden scewers and stick them in a head of cabbage in a nice basket...and you could do the same w/fruit.  Of course, it would be something they had to eat w/in a few days...but they're fun to make and very cute.  I took one to Thanksgiving at a friend's last year, and initially she thought it WAS flowers...

Since the season is changing and it's getting colder and good fruit is becoming harder to find, you could always do a soup kit or hot chocolate kit (you know where you layer all the ingredients into a jar.) I made my grandma a chicken tortilla soup jar a couple weeks ago for watching Drew when I was in a bind. She loved it - all she had to do was add water and chicken. There are TONS of recipes out there.
