Any thoughts of help?
So I am in the beginning of my second tri-mester; and can't complain about the first three months. Very little sickness, could eat most things and had cravings (mostly beef and apples). Now and about for the past week and half, I am stuggling to eat meat. I could live off mash potatoes and fruit. I have actually started to have sickness with vomitting. I am still tired, but I am still giving those thyroid meds a chance (they told me two weeks). So my advice needed....any one have any suggestions on how to get something other than mash potatoes in? I know it's not good, but anything else I have recently eating, I am in bed or at the toilet. Any thoughts advise or things you tried would be helpful.
I know we are all different, but maybe there is one thought/suggestion that will work for me!
thanks in advance!!! Stacey

Stacey,
I could be way off base on this because I am not a nut....but at this stage of the game... I say you eat whatever works. You HAVE to have calories for you and baby...it does no good to force something down and puke it up...in fact, it is worse as vomiting too much CAN become dangerous. I say every once in a while try a few bites of something different and see if it sticks...if it doesn't...then bag it for a while.
With my issues with my bypass I have no choice but to use this method. It is more important for me to get calories in, than to worry about what kind of calories they are.
I hope your yuckies go away soon!

HI Stacey--
Sorry to hear you are feeling so sick...that sucks!
If it is protein sources that are not meat that you are looking for, here are a few that have worked for me:
Eggs
Dairy: cottage cheese, greek yogurt, cheeses
Soy and beans: Edamame, soy nuts, canned beans, hummus
Protein shakes/bars: my current favorite is the Kashi Go Lean Rolls--they're also a great fiber source.
Best of luck and I hope this phase passes quickly for you!
