Spent the night in L/D

Had my baby shower yesterday and had a great time.  Got home, decided to go to Target to get a few final things and then came home and thought it would be wise to do some cleaning and stuff while I had an empty house.,...kids are with in-laws camping and hubby is hunting for opening weekend out in the boonies.

BAD IDEA!

At midnight I was having contractions 8-10 minutes apart and had a few doozies so I called L/D - they said to come in.  Got there, they hooked me and the girls up and the contractions were coming with a vengance.  The nurse said "what's your pain level??  Are you feeling these?"  I said "oh yeah, about a 5 - how far apart are they now?"  They were 2-3 minutes apart!!

I got a shot of turbulatine, they slowed down for a sec.  Got a second shot, they checked my cervix, dilated 1cm, and they tried to let me rest.  YEAH RIGHT.  They called my OB and he wanted me kept for observation.  Ugh.  He wasn't going to be there till 7am.  He got there, checked me and said I was staying for a few hours.  AFTER another shot of turb.  ICK!

Well, now I'm home on bed rest with a bottle of turbutaline pills to take every 4 hours.  FUN, NOT!

I'm bummed.  I had a lot planned this week.  Ugh.  But I did get a hold of my husband after hours of trying and he's on his way home.  I have another appt on Tuesday and they said I MAY not stay on bedrest the entire time if the turb is doing it's job.  We'll see!

So, I'm home, I'm tired, and I'm going to bed now...GOODNIGHT!

I am so sorry you had to go through all of that alone....did you drive yourself???

I hope the contractions subside and you are not on bedrest for long but the girls keep baking away...hang in there and I hope you are getting the sleep you need.....

I wish you and the babies the best... I hope they bake a little longer, I know hospital stays and meds can be a pain.
Just keep those feet up and yourself well rested and hydrated and lets see what happens.
