Lube Question

I hope to join your forum officially very soon, but for now I just lurk here.  I'm 3 years out from my RNY surgery, my son is going to be 5 in February.  With him it took us about 9 months to conceive him, after he was born we learned that I have PCOS though my labs are completely normal now so I don't know if that is the issue.  Though, since having him I am totally dried up and we do use Astroglide to help things along... does anyone know if this does anything to the sperm?  I never even thought of that, but reading the post about "Pre Seed" got me thinking.  There have been a few times where we didn't need anything, but those times are few and far between.  I figured that with normal labs and 120 pounds gone it would be quicker TTC this time, but who knows... we're on month 6 now.  Any advice on lube would be appreciated!

Pre-Seed works, egg whites work pretty well also. Oil based lubricants can effect sperm quality.

You need to have an ****** before he even enters. Not only will that provide natural lube but it will make your cervix spasm which helps draw the sperm up.

Not to mention lend a hand to better ******s during sex :-)

Astroglide, KY ect kills sperm.  The first month I used preseed I got pregnant.  We never used anything before, but it took us 4 months to get pregnant, and I think the preseed did the trick. 

Also saliva is not good for sperm, neither is water. 

I used egg whites once--ewww.  More trouble than it's worth and not very romantic.  I would absolutely recommend preseed.

I have PCOS as well. I concieved our little surprise two weeks after my labs came back normal.

Wow, well, I had no idea that these lubes would affect the sperm, so I'm glad that I asked this question!  Where do you get PreSeed, can you pick it up at CVS or Target?  I've never even heard of it...  and the thought of eggwhites during sex just grosses me out.  Is that even sanitary?

Not sure where in CT you are but they sell it up by the Big E grounds. I looked up where they sell it and no place here but they do in W. Springfield.
