12 Days Without Bending?

So, it is physically possible to live the next 12 days without bending? (Side note: What? Only 12 days until the baby is here?)

Seriously, whenever I bend I feel like my spleen is going to ooze out my ear or that the baby is going to be forced out any available orifice.

I've given up on trimming toenails, shoes that aren't slip-ons, and I'm about to forget about socks too!

You are so cute....I was the same way...very swollen the last few weeks....I reverted to sandle slip ons...even the day I had Nathan in NOVEMBER....my feet were too swollen to wear anything else....plus it felt good....

I thought of you today....my good friend was due the 30th like you :) and she had our little man yesterday....13 days early :) I cannot wait to meet Marshall....so are you sharing his name yet? Do you have a costume for him for Halloween? :)

Hang in There...

Ann

PS How late are you planning to work up until?

Hi Ann--

You get the "Speediest Reply Award" tonight!

I'm not swollen at all...I haven't been this entire pregnancy...I simply feel like I'm going to bust a gut whenever I bend! The extra room for the baby to move out of the way (while I bend) seems to have disappeared overnight.

I seriously suspect I'll go earlier than the scheduled c-section on 10/30. I don't know why I feel this way...there are no indicators at the moment and I'm being monitored very closely. We're mostly ready if Baby Boy does come early. (BTW, he has a name, but we're waiting until he's born to share it...y'know just in case we change or mind or he's not a he, but a she...) Today my husband finished painting the nursery and putting in all new molding. I assembled the stroller and the Graco newborn soothing center. For the soothing center...I learned that the Graco Snug Ride car seat snaps into the frame...pretty neat, I think.

Halloween...he'll be one day old (assuming things happen on-schedule)...and my neighbor gave the baby a Halloween jack-o-lantern onesie.

No, I will not be working between now and the due date. I had been let go (due to downsizing) shortly before we began our journey with infertility....so once we began the journey, I made the choice not to return. For us, it has worked out well.

P.S."Marshall" seems to have become a very popular name lately....I wonder if it is because of the character by the same name on the show "How I Met Your Mother."

LOL on reply award :)

It totally sounds like you are ready....good for you....did you get all of the clothes hung up, etc. That part was fun for me....especially since Nathan is still in our room and so are several of his belongings....we never did a specific room for him.....we live in a two story, master on the main and the other bedrooms are upstairs....so it is an every night slumber party :) But I don't mind...

Anyway, I hope you have your son (I understand keeping the name secret...we did too)....do you have plans to share with someone to let the board know?

Cannot wait to hear your story and see pics....he is going to change your life.....get excited and ready!!!!

Hugs,

Ann

Hi Ann--

It's not even 5 am and I've been wide-awake since 3:30. I'm pretty sure Baby Boy is preparing me for those middle-of-the-night feedings. Currently, I use this "extra time" to go online and catch up on DVR'ed shows. Lazy, I know!

I plan on posting here personally once the baby arrives. I feel like he has already changed my life...so I can't wait to see what else is in store once he's actually here!
