Drooling and snots and spit-up OH MY -- cleaning question?

Cooper has recently gotten a bunch of new and fun toys.  (Used kid's store and garage sales)

They all have trays or plastic type pieces.... and he drools, spits up,  and sneezes on these toys.

Bless my husband's heart -- he was cleaning these toys the other day with kitchen cleaner that says "hazardous to skin, etc etc etc" and not really rinsing with water.

So he asked me what we SHOULD be using to clean things that Cooper could get his hands / mouth on.  It has to kill germs... with my husband's immune system weakened that's very important.

Any suggestions???  What do you use on your counters / cabinets and other places?  What on your kids toys?

Thanks!

Cindy

If you go to Clorox.com they have the dilution for washing baby toys with bleach and water. That is what I do because I am a germ freak even a little OCD about them.

So if you use this diluted bleach .... and wipe it over toys that are too big / awkward to dunk or soak.... do you then rinse it *really* well with water??   Like go back over the tray with jus****er two or three times to make sure the bleach is gone?

I know it's lazy of me but I wanted something that was easy-wipe on and that's it.  I'm a worry wort about leaving soap / chemicals behind but I also a germ freak too.  *sigh*

When it's my stuff and me I just use the chemicals....but not for Cooper, ya know?

Thank you for your input!

Babies r us has non toxic cleaning supplies made for baby toys and high chairs. I use a spray kind but most come in wipes also. All are non-toxic and most are organic. I think it works great.

When I worked in the preschool we used bleach water and put it in a spray bottle. That way for the bulky items you do not have to dunk them in water.
