TMI/OT but need suggestions

Okay, so this is something I would only talk about with my closest friends on OH...so here goes...LOL

Why, oh why, has my body decided that 4 a.m. is the time of day my bowels need to move...and I mean...they need to move immediately!!!!  Why would one's body do this?  Is this just a cruel joke from mother nature or what?

Now I would know how to remedy this situation if it was just needing to wake up to pee...as I could just stop drinking earlier in the evening, etc.  but its not...and I have NO CLUE how to train one's bowels what time of day to move...any suggestions?

This is driving me crazy...lol  It would not be such a big deal, other than once I get awake enough to do that sort of activity it takes me a while to go back to sleep.  By the time I get back to sleep, its time to get up...I am just frustrated!!  LOL

Any suggestions welcome!

Dear Miss Poopy Pants,

No suggestions. As I often go 3,4 or even 5 days without a poop. When it's time.....it's time. Are you regular? Not that I have any specific instructions if you are but maybe others will....

Good Luck!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Oh Poopy Pants :)

I am so sorry...some people would actually be happy to be poopy....I am very regular so not me :)
Anyway, my only non-medical advice is are you eating a lot of fiber at night? Maybe try a banana before bed....

I so hate getting out of bed to go potty....I don't know how I survived pregnancy because that just pissed me off (no pun intended...lol)

I hope your poopiness just comes later....so sorry!

Ann

First you get to be teeny tiny AND you poop everyday. I am jealous LOL. Do you drink coffee or smoke? These are things my husband does and he goes like clockwork too. Maybe change the time you eat and drink. I read that you are still about 100!! I am so happy that you are able to maintain a healthier weight. I miss you on weigh day...

LOL you are so funny...there are days that I would gladly trade bodies with you!!!  I do smoke and I drink a lot of diet coke...but not coffee.  I am sorry I have been missing weigh day...it seems like the last few Mondays have been very hectic for me...so I will try to hit that post this next week :)

How are things going for you in the weight world?  Did you get to see the 6 you were looking for?  I'm too lazy to go back and look for the post..lol

Depending on how you tolerate sugar the Dr had told my Mom that Marshmallows slow down the bowel - maybe 2-3 regular sized ones before bed would hold things off until you get up in the morning. My Mom had a illiostomy bag (not sure of that spelling but it is like a colostomy bag just higher up in the intestines) WHen she would have to go in so they could look at the site they would have her eat marshmallows before hand to slow things down so they could examine it without and issues.

Hope that you can get back to having a good night's sleep!
