Third Trimester and Doctor Update...
We are officially in the third trimester now! Wahoo!! I am doing good. Had a little scare last week with my blood pressure and corresponding headaches. Went in and was basically on bed rest last week but got back on Aldomet twice a day and my blood pressure is back to "normal" I am feeling much better and I think baby is too he has been moving a whole lot more than before so I think my high blood pressure was affecting him too...
I had to do pre-eclampsia workup including a 24 hour urine catch and bloodwork. Both came back fine so that was a relief from my mind. I went in today and did my glucose test the traditional way and it wasn't that bad. I think the anticipation of it was far worse than the actual test. I passed it on the 2nd blood draw. The nurse took it too soon after I told her what time it had been when I took the last sip so on the 2nd draw (at the correct 1 hour lapse) I passed!! It had to be 140 or lower and it was 139! I am measuring 29 weeks! So baby is getting bigger and his movements are really changing not alot of kicks but more whole body movements. Hubby had his hand on my belly last night and Memphis kicked his hand and it actually moved hubby's hand! It is an awesome feeling!!
I am now on appointments every 2 weeks! That means we are getting closer! I am getting very excited! My Mother and Mother in Law are doing a joint baby shower "tea" which will be a come and go type event rather than everyone being there at one time...makes it more relaxing I think. We threw one for my sister and it turned out really nice, she just opened the gifts as they came in and it was more personal. We are going to finish making the "Tonka Truck" invitations for the shower tonight.
My Mom has been helping me get started on organizing and getting things ready. She is such a big help to me and is just as excited about our baby as we are. We have the bassinet in the room now and it looks so nice...weird to walk into my bedroom and have a baby bed in there.
Well Thanks if you made it through my "novel" lol Glad to be able to give a good update!
Have a great weekend!
