so here i am on bedrest at the hospital...i went to my appointment yesterday for a second measuring of my cervix after to 2 days strict bedrest. my luck it got shorter. so i was sent to hospital to get admitted and while i was in Labor and delivery i started contracting non stop. it was a ton of preasure...they gave me 3 spaced out shots of turbutaline and luckily they went away. i am gonna have the FFN test tomorrow then have cervix measured on monday. once we get back FFN results they will determine when i get steroids for baby. sounds like i am gonna be here a long time...possibly til i deliver. i just turned 24 weeks today. i had these exact same problems with my last child...so i kinda know the drill...last time i was here for a whopping 5 weeks. but at least last time i was hospitalized at 28-29 weeks.....not 24 weeks. i just feel so bad for my husband who now is running the show all alone with a 1 and 4 year old!

I'm so sorry that your cervix is being mean!  At least you have internet so you won't go too crazy.
Keep us updated.

Im sorry Tricia...when I had to be in the hospital for 5 weeks before they finally delivered my baby at 31 weeks, I pretended I was at a spa...LOL  It was like a motel 6 spa...but it was a spa...:)

I pray baby can bake a little longer...if you can get over 30 weeks...your complication rate drops so dramatically it is amazing!  Cross your legs sweetie...and stay in bed :)

I feel for you Tricia.  I'm not in the hospital  but have been having contractions since 22 weeks.  This has been going on for 3 1/2 weeks now.  We're doing FFN tests every two weeks.  The turbutaline injections worked very quickly for me too.  They started me on progesterone shots and procardia this week.  They've never checked my cervix for any changes yet though.  I'm sorry you are going through this.  If you want to vent or someone to listen, let me know.

BTW: I lived in NJ for 6 1/2 years.

I am sorry to read you are there but at least you doctors are on top of things. Try to rest and good luck.

Oh no. I hope everything goes well and that you don't go stir crazy in the hospital for so long.
