T minus 2 weeks!
My baby boy will be here two weeks from today!*
My 36 week appointment went well this week. My vitals are still good...total weight gain is 25 lbs. now...still no swelling, or signs of any distress to my body. Baby boy scored perfectly on both his biophysical profle and NST. During the ultrsound he was sticking his tongue out and back in quickly and seemed to be drinking in a ton of amniotic fluid. He looked like a snapping turtle as his mouth was quickily opening and closing. The sonographer does measurements every other week, so next week I'll get the next estimated weight on him. Last week he was 5 lbs., 1 oz....and in the 45%. My hunch is that he'll be between 6.5 lbs. and 7 lbs. by the 10/30 c-section date.
The good news is that we are basically ready---I stress the word "BASICALLY." The nursery isn't completely done yet...furniture won't be in place until 10/23....but the arm's reach co-sleeper is ready to go. Hospital backs are packed and car seats have been installed (by my husband) and approved (by our town's certified safety officer). Between now and next Friday, I'll have taken a breastfeeding class, met the pediatrician one-on-one, and the nursery will be finished and the furnished.
Although my "nesting" hasn't manifested itself in so far as cleaning, I have done a bang-up job of preparing and freezing meals and also stockpiling anything I can. Yes, there are 6 bottles of dishwasher liquid under my sink, enough toilet paper to last until spring, and so many Swiffer refills that I REALLY should have bought some company stock ahead of time! Now, if only that cleaning bug would come bite me....
Hope all is well with everyone,
--Paula

Can you believe it?! My nesting really doesn't involve cleaning...mine involves stock piling...so perhaps you have nested. I have enough laundry soap, dish soap, body soap, razors, TP, paper towels, diapers, wipes, etc to last until at least Feb 2010. Since I will be off with no income, and DH isn't working...I needed to stock up. I need to work on food next. Good luck...it seems our babies will be 6 days apart (if they both wait for their scheduled arrivals).
Glad to hear all is well! I'm in that same phase you are of the house being BASICALLY ready, but not cleaned. LOL. And I'm swelling like CRAZY!
I went to our town's fire department to help me get Holden's car seat in 5 years ago when we adopted him. I had THREE fire-fighters in the back seat of my SUV and not one could figure it out! LOL!!! I finally did it myself and gave up on them. HA.
