Some of you know I was put on Tamiflu because I had a slight fever, dizziness and cough.

It has gotten better and I still have 1/2 the pack to take.

Problem is, it is making me SUPER nauseous and I am throwing up after every meal.

My OB told me to stop taking it if I felt worse, and I do.  I'm not even convinced I had the flu, but better safe than sorry.  I'm gonna call tomorrow, but should I just stop taking it.  Right now the Tamiflu is making me sicker than the cold/flu I have.

Thoughts?

If your OB said it was okay, I suggest you stop. I hate having nausea.

Just as an FYI...I'm not sur e how long you had symptoms before you started the Tamiflu, but in the medical reality world...Tamiflu is rather a joke as it is only effective if it is taken EARLY on in the symptoms...they say 24-36 hours, but it really is closer to the 24.  If the doc says its okay not to take it and it is making ya feel yucky...then I would stop taking it.  I have worked with a lot of docs over the last 21 years, and they all had the same opinion of it "might" be helpful if caught early on..not even ONE of them was confident that it was..the flu just sucks.  My 7 year old son (he was 6 at the time) tested positive for first A and then a month later B...the docs said they rarely see someone come down with both strains, so needless to say he is a flu shot/h1n1 candidate this year, although I have not decided when to do the vaccines...my 19-year-old ALREADY tested positive for the H1N1, results sent to CDC, etc. 3 weeks ago...and she is getting well sooooooooo the jury is still out on the vaccine.

awwwwwwww thanks Lexa...I'm so glad my 21+ years of mommyhood is still helpful to others...besides, I live vicariously through all of you, because honestly if my body could take it, I would have probably given the Duggers a run for their money...I love having babies and I love kiddos...at all stages...I am having so much fun with my teenage girls now, I cannot believe it!  Oh trust me...I'm human and there are days I wish they would all disappear...in fact....I have told them all on several occasions..."mommy is not in a healthy mind frame...go to your room for your own safety"...LOL  I would never hurt my kids...but no good will come of things when I get in a certain mood...and they are behaving in a certain manner...LOL
