11 Months Down....Nathan Update (Heavy Pics)
Nathan turned 11 months on 11th...NOT FAIR! He is growing up wayyyy tooo fast....I cannot believe that we are planning his FIRST birthday party......
Since we did not update last month...we will include a summary of the last few months........
So, here are the stats: (based upon his last visit to the doctor 3 weeks ago)
Weight: 21 pounds, 10 ounces in September with clothes and 3 weeks after that he was 21 pounds, 2 ounces without clothes
Height: 31 inches
Head: not checked the last few appointments
Sizes: 9 months, 12 months...and some 18 months clothes
Overall Health:
- Nathan finally got referred to a pulmonologist regarding his respiratory issues. The pulmonologist (who was AWESOME) diagnosed him with asthma. We moved him from a nebulizer machine to an inhaler. It is amazing and I know is making a difference and saves me tons of time each day. He believes he is a HIGH candidate for growing out of asthma. We are praying he does.
- We only made one treatment to the pediatrician this month for a fever and achiness. He also had a little sore on his hand. We got some antibiotics for his hand but had to wait out the fever for the viral contagious little illness he was having.
- During his little fever incident, I could not tell if it was his viral infection or his THREE teeth he was getting all at once (see a pic below to see them all in his glory...two bottom ones and one top one).
- He is still Mr. Happy! He smiles and laughs all of the time!
Eating Habits:
- He is still eating about 7 ounce bottles (4 per day)
- He is eating stage 3 fruits and vegetable three times a day. He has been eating some little Graduates snacks too. He LOVES the cheese puffs. Also, he has been eating from my plate a little more. He likes mashed potatoes, bread balls and corn. Also, when my mom was here he convinced grandma for some of her vanilla frap from Starbucks. :) Over the next month we will be gradually increasing his people food and incorporating milk. Should be interesting, but hoping it will be easier and cheaper. :)
Some highlights:
- He is still army crawling and getting up more on his knees. He has learned to pull himself up in his crib, on the couch. He is a little wobbly so I am not sure how long it will be before he walks on his own and frankly I am fine with that for now. :)
- He still absolutely HATES socks and shoes. We have been trying to teach him "no" when he grabs his socks and shoes. It is starting to get a little cold here so I am getting more and more worried that his little feet will get cold. Am thinking of big snow boots from now on out. LOL
- Grandma Sue came for 2 weeks in late August/early September. Auntie Nadine and one of my great friends Dawn came too for about 5 days. We had so much fun....we went shopping a lot with and without Nathan, we went to a Braves game, went to a Women of Faith conference and Nathan stayed home and spent time with Grandma for about 5 days while I worked. It was INCREDIBLE to have her here. We want her to come back soon...and are hoping to see Dawn and Nadine again soon too!
- Nathan is enjoying the bath more and more. We put a little ducky into the big tub (and he will kill me later as all I could find is a pink ducky). He really enjoys splashing around.
- He is still Mr. Babble and has learned to wave bye bye...
- He loves the remotes and goes after them fast....a trait he has received from his daddy.
We look forward to the upcoming month as Nathan celebrates his first Halloween, birthday and looking forward to hopefully seeing daddy home for good.
Here are some pics from the last few months...sorry there are so many...hope you enjoy!
Love,
Ann

Yes! It does go by way too fast! Seems like just yesterday I had Brantley, now he's in Kindergarten.
Nathan is such a little ham. Just precious! Glad he's doing so well - that's always a big self-pat-on-the-back. So, great job mom!
