anyone.....
im very frustrated with my dr- who obvs has no idea of what its like to be preg after WLS.. im 35 weeks with identical twin girls.. and am startin to have problems with blood pressure and vomiting as my pouch is crushed due to the babies.. i explained ot her that i cant carry to term re- surg and was told her other patients-- ( who have never had surg) were fine until 39 weeks...
im very upset as cant change drs now and feel like she is putting  my life and my babies lives at risk... i was told that there is no way they will let me go furhter than 37.. but this makes me very nervous.. i had prior to surg-  a 37 weekeer, no prob.. but could also hold alot more down- im swelling up, anemic and shes doing nothing. er dr says im overreatcing and to just ride it out two more weeks... anyone know of post op preg compl with twins carrying to long? all adivce app.. thanks..
only had put on 25 pounds till about 2 months ago... now weighed in at 43 pounds weight gain total at 35 weeks.. im freaking out.!!-  i do NOT ever want to be heavy again!!  also- how hard is it to lose after the birth?- i will be breast feeding.. thanks all. - Shannon- mom to Camerin, Eva Aidan- and Twins EDD Nov 2009

Who told you that you couldn't carry to term?    I had twins a day shy of 37 weeks and went into labor on my own.  While it was uncomfortable for me as the days went on, I would have carried my twins until 40 weeks if that's when they wanted to make their appearance.

While I have no doubt you will not carry to 40 weeks, you should want to carry them as long as possible.

Having one A-OK 37 weeker is not the same as having twins.  Hell, even if you were having another singleton, it still wouldn't be the same.  Pregnancy is a case by case basis.

I'm sorry you are miserable, but frankly who ever told you that you couldn't and shouldn't carry to term has you up in arms for nothing (unless there is some medical reason as to why they are telling you that) because it sounds like a bunch of BS.

i am 32 weeks pregnant with identical boys, and i have a scheduled c section date of 12/4 which i will be 39 weeks then

the longer they stay in the healthier they will be, try to hold out as long as you can and i gained 20lbs so far but im not worried it will come off in time

besides nothing beats having happy n healthy babies

im gonna stop working at 35 weeks anyway, my thighs hurt bad standing all day thats it though,my babies weigh 4lbs and 3.6lbs

My docs wanted to deliver on 11/2 that would have made my 38wks. But I want into labor on my own on 10/5 at 34wks. You want those babies to stay in as long as they can, both my girls are still in to NICU.

As far as the weight I gained 35 pounds and I have already lost it all and I'm wearing my old clothes. I couldn't belive how fast it came off.

thank you to both of you for the comments- this makes me feel a little better now.. i was told by my dr that carrying to far with wls was dangerous as my pouch could be damamged- as there was word of a patient who had gb, preg with twins and went to 39 weeks- had her stomach all tie itself in knots and caused major gastric complications she almost died.. since he obvs is not the expert and we all are here since we went through the surg,  I sure feel better  hearing what you have to say. thanks again everyone.
