A few questions

So tell me about round ligament pain. Last night when I was getting into bed I had 2 sharp stabbing pains kind of on the side of where I think that my uterus is. They were both on the left side and I had it once more during the night when I rolled over. I see the Dr tomorrow so I will mention this to her too. I will be 9 weeks tomorrow.

Morning (ALL DAY) sickness - when did your start to subside? It i****ting me hard the last few days and I am really struggling with food and fluids. I brought this up to the nurse yesterday and she wants me to talk to the Dr tomorrow (friday) about it so I will. She suggested the sea bands so I am wearing them today, but so far I feel worse then I have all along.

I am so grateful that this baby seems to be sticking that I am just trying to cover up the way I feel but I know that really doesn't reslove anything in the end!

Thanks ladies!

I think the stretching pains are the worse. Mostly cause they come out of nowhere and can leave ya breathless. They do hurt a lot. I get them mostly too when I should be relaxing and so it always scares me to relax. How funny.

My first I had sickness all day every day till I had him. I had it so bad I could not lay flat. I always had to sleep in a recliner. No laying down flat the whole time. Nothing helped with him though. So he was just difficult. Should have known that was a sign of things to come. :) He is awesome now and he is almost 16 years old. My second was not bad at all. I felt sick every once in awhile and that was it. Now with this one here I have been sick to my stomach many days and sometimes things help and sometimes they dont. I have been throwing up more in the past 2 months than the begining of the pregnancy. So I guess its so true about each pregnancy being so different and all. I am on phergan now but thats for the kidney infection I have again. Usually pills just make me feel worse so I dont like using them for feeling sick.

I hope they can find something to make you feel a little better. Sometimes its just those first months that are always the worse. In good news at least its a good sign pregnancy is going ok. I always thought that was funny when my doc told me that. Seems all the signs made me feel awful in the begining. :) You know I wish you the best!!!

One night I had the pain so bad, I got very worried.  Had no bleeding or any other signs of something bad, just unreal pain.  Dr. told me as long as there was no weird discharge or blood...it was my body working like it should.  They also explained that sometimes the ligments work exta hard and strain; said it was like a sprained ankle;  hurt for a few days but nothing you can do but rest when it happens.  So another words, your uterus can have a sprain too.  The good news is after that really bad night of the pains, I really just have very minor cramps from time to time....and I am just starting my second tri-mester.  I can't really help you on the All Day Sickness, I am blessed to be that 25% of women *****ally didn't have much of that.  But I will note, the min I felt a little sick to my stomach, I would force something in me...crackers, garnola bars, fruit, etc.  Once I got past the first couple bites, it would go away.  A funny thing, one sure sign for me when I was getting this way, I would sneeze.  My hubby and I think its kinda strange, but sure enough happens everytime....don't know why, but it does.  Now he ask, after I sneeze if I am okay (feeling sick another words).

Hope your pains and sickness go away.....Stacey

Thanks ladies! I am going to try and eat a little bit more often and see if that helps today too.

Glad to hear that these sporadic pains are just normal too.

Thanks again as always! You are the BEST resources!!

With this pregnancy it seemed to go away right before the 2nd trimester.  However, it seems to have returned.   With the twins I had it until well into my 2nd trimester.

Try Lemonheads.

I just hit third trimester today and this morning while attempting to get up out of the bed to pee (at 3 am) Instead of popping up and sitting up I had to roll because the pain was so sharp I actually cried out it hurt so bad! So RL pain is def. random and lasts throughout the pregnancy...

My morning sickness lasted till around 14-15 weeks...it was brutal and not fun. I had to eat only what would sound good or what I dreamed about...Smells were the worst coffee, bacon, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, bathroom cleaner...all of it would knock me over! Crazy! I do still get some nauseau every once in a while but it is so much better than it was. I would just eat what you can handle, don't try to be "textbook" perfect eater right now...baby will get what they need

Feel better soon!

I definitely know about the RL pain.  It has been very scary at times, but as long as there is not bleeding or weird discharge, I am assuming it is just my body stretching and making room for the bean.    That is what my OB said.  When it happens, I just try to rest for a while.

Fortunately, I really didn't have much morning sickness.  When I did, I would just nibble on something and that would usually help.

Take care...

I never got the round ligament pain, so I have no advice there. I got charlie horses - a LOT. They're the worst. I pray that you don't get them. I got them every night - they were so bad, I would wake up crying. Not to scare you - LoL. So keep drinking lots and lots of water.

As for morning sickness - I was probably around 15-16 weeks before it subsided. Then I only got sick when something didn't agree with me - which was pretty often because I was only 5 months out of surgery. I ate a lot of ritz crackers and ate often.

Good luck, I hope you start to feel better - but if not, the reward for feeling like crap is so worth it!

I had horrible all day sickness. It went from HORRIBLE to almost nonexistant right around the end of my 10th week. I'm 12 weeks now and don't have any nausea in the morning. Well, sometimes just a tiny bit but it's usually because I smelled something horrid, ate something the baby really didn't want, or because my nerves are a wreck (DDs birthday party nearly killed me, thank God for Zofran!).

I had similar pains. My doc said it's no biggie, my muscles are just adjusting to the changes going on. I haven't had one in a couple of weeks.

It gets better. The biggest thing that helped me was keeping stress to a minimum. That triggered a LOT of nausea for me. We took DD to chuckecheese and I was miserable the entire time. Even paying bills online made me nauseous.
