baby bottles?
I have a few of everything. I started out with the Playtex Vente Aire Advanced, love the bottle but the numbers rub off very easy. I have a couple of the Playtex Vente Aire Natural Shape - LOVE them, but having a hard time finding them in stores, might have to break down and order them online. I have a few Dr. Brown's - like them but they are a pain to clean. I love the Avent but they're too expensive. I have a few Parents Choice (Walmart) bottles. I don't particularly like them but Drew seems to take to them really well (which is nice because they're real cheap.)
If I had to pick - I would use the Avent's all the time.

I used Vent Aire with Riley. But everyone raved so much about Dr. Brown's I broke down and bought some for Jantzen. He didn't seem to care for them as much, so I only use Vent Aire for him now.
Now the bottle from Riley I saved, still have all the numbers on them. But the new ones I bought, the numbers washed off in one or two washings. I didn't care too much. I know where the markings are supposed to be and still use them constantly. If you are a stickler for measuring, maybe it's an issue.
I wing it and know I have the water about where it should be, so no issue. But he loves those bottles and doesn't seem to get too gassy.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
No kiddies of my own yet but I practically raised my 2 nephews through their infanthood. Personally I loved and they loved the dr. browns. They are a pain in the booty to clean but they really did help reduce gas and colic. And they work fine with formula (usually I would make 4 bottles at a time in a juice jug and pour it in to the bottles rather than 1 at a time and shake). My second fav was the Avents and my third fav was the Evenflo Purely Comfi Nursers (they have the grips on the sides and are angled).
The only wide neck we used were the Avents. Just regular sized on all the other brands. Now word of advice. I used to like the Playtex Vent-Aire (sp) bottles with my first nephew 3 years ago. Now I HATE them. Seems they are being made cheaper now. The numbers wear off easily (with a newborn, especially if it is your first you need those numbers to know how much baby is eating) and they leak from the bottom. And if you use a bottle warmer...thats it. Your bottle will be robbed of about an ounce before its even hot and where did the milk go...leaked out into the warmer. Hate them now.
