A question about wet and poopy diapers (I know, just what you want to talk about!)
Ok, so Matty has TONS of wet and poopy diapers a day, but I have noticed that after his longest sleep at night he wakes up almost dry and with no poop. I remember the triplets waking up from their longest sleep soaking wet and basically almost always leaking though, but he wakes up a little wet and almost always with no poop.
Here is what it looks like before bed - for about 5 hours before bed he is off and on the boob about ever hour to hour and a half, he has a poop and pee EVERY time, so he goes though about five diapers in that time period. His last feeding before going down for three to four hours (last night I got FIVE hours, I almost feel human! LOL) he stays on a little longer, and I hear him sucking, swallowing and doing all that good stuff, but he does not poop or pee after or during this feeding. When he wakes up after this long sleep he usually nurses like a mad man, has two huge poops and soaks his diaper, he will usually poop when being burped between breasts and then at the end of the feeding.
Is this strange? Something to worry about? Do I need to call his ped, or can I wait to talk to him during his 2 month check??
I know he is getting enough, hungry babies don't sleep for five hours, and he is wet and poopy so much during the day, but of course I worry (isn't that my job? LOL).

As long as he is having plenty of wet and poopy diapers a day I would think that everything is o.k. Maybe he's going to be really easy to potty train since he has control of his bladder and bowels during deep sleep lol.
If you are worried I would put a call in the Dr.'s office. That's what they are there for. I'm sure I drove my Dr. crazy the first year of Hannah's life with all the calls I made lol.

Matthew never poops while sleeping and will pee some days more than others. He sleeps 9-10 hour stretches at night...sometimes his diaper is soaking wet and others its like he's only had it on for a little while. As long as he's peeing and pooping the normal amount during the day I wouldn't worry too much about it. It maybe because he's in a really deep sleep during that time. Of course if you're worried call your pedi and ask.
