Home Again
So, they said my water didn't break. Took a group b strep and will get the results in 3-4 days. Cervix the same at 1cm. Still having cx. The baby is measuring 39-40 weeks. She scheduled a c for 39 weeks...like I will make it that far.
I cried a lot. I think mostly because I thought she would schedule for 37-38 weeks....also giving up my chance at a vbac because my sugars are so out of control. And cx suck. I really thought they might keep me. Oh well...it is in gods hands. Might give me a chance to heal from this bronchitis and ear infection and Micah a chance to bake longer.
Gonna take a nap. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Shari

((((((HUGS))))))) I luv ya Shari!
What is your target baking date?? I found that making little goals helped. When in the hospital at 32 weeks my target was 35. When I made it to 35 it was 37, after 37 weeks it was game on!!!!! :) I walked 4 miles a day for a week and 5 days - and I STILL gained weight! LOL! I hope the cx give you a break soon!

I remember being hospitalized before Everett's arrival - contracting all day/night, having them decide to do the c in the morning, only to have a different Dr send me home. I cried big time. I knew the extra time was better for Everett, but I was so freaking miserable.
Point is, I understand Shari!
When Everett was born with severe TTN @ 39 wks, I couldn't imagine how much worse it would have been had he arrived earlier.
It sucks but just know that in a few short weeks you'll be holding your baby and all the pain of today will stop.
Hugs,

Wow- this has been an emotional rollercoster. I am hoping this does give you the time to start to feel better...but I know when I am (was actively) diabetic, it takes me longer to feel normal. Keep baking Micah...I have to tell myself everyday that I love being pregnant, and will miss it horrible when I cant feel movement, it's better for baby to stay for now, etc..it helps me cope with the fatigue and end of pregnancy blues. I am scheduled for a c-section on Nov 5th, so days it seems so close and others so far away...That will be 39 weeks. I tried for 38 weeks because I really wanted an October baby- they wouldn't hear doing it before 39 weeks unless a medical issue came up...and Oct / Nov...why does it really matter. Ironically, Nov 5th is the baby's great grandma's bday and she is thrilled about baby coming that day.
