Nervous - Tubal
They can suspect a tubal by your HCG levels - if it is they rarely rise above 1000 and if they don't see a drastic drop as you would in a miscarriage, blighted ovum, or chemical pregnancy their next step will be an ultrasound. Tubal's tend to peak and stay at that level which is why they are checking your HCG count every couple of days. They will continue to do so until you are below a 5 and in cases that I've seen won't attempt an IUI or IVF procedure unless you are back at 0.
If you have pain in your side, lower back, become dizzy, are in pain - you need to go to an ER - but they should catch it before it gets that far if a tubal is the case.
Of my 6 miscarriages 1 was a tubal. I had the "blockage" removed and a DNC. The procedure itself isn't that bad - in and out, it's the 2 or 3 days that follow that your body gets sore. They didn't end up having to remove my tube, but after 18 months scar tissue grew and it is blocked so my right tube now sends all the eggs to the basket. My hubby and I said that if we got pregnant naturally with a son we would make his middle name "Wright" since we knew he traveled down the right tube. :)
From my experience and from what I've read - I don't think you have a tubal, I think it's a "Chemical" pregnancy. I would guess that your numbers would be much higher in a tubal and higher than they are in a blighted ovum. I wish you guys the best - it's not a fun journey, it totally sucks... in many ways. Just don't lose hope and faith!
So, I will go this morning for the RE to take a look around and see what is up before we will decide about going to Vegas or not. Hubby doesn't want to go without getting a full exam. So, our bags are packed but we will see what this morning brings.
Thank you for all the information!
