So, went to the doctor today and have bronchitis and an ear infection...nice, started antibiotics.

But, I have been having pretty good cx since yesterday afternoon. Today at 6pm I had my NST and was having crazy contractions...so the nurse took me in and checked my cervix. I am 1cm dilated, 50% effaced, very soft cervix, and she felt his head...engaged at a -1 to -2 station. She pretty much said this baby could be here anytime. I have an appointment with the specialist tomorrow at 1pm. If anything happens I will let Sara know so she can post.

I want the baby to bake a little longer, wondering though... I will have the gbs tomorrow, but wondering if they will do an amnio to check the lungs?? Let's just hope I make it until tomorrow.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I am hoping not to have this baby as sick as I am...and I want him healthy. Shari

Oh my!

Yes it would be great if he could bake 2 weeks longer at least :) You could ask your Doc about getting a steroid shot to strengthen his lungs. That is what my Doc ordered for me when I went into preterm at 32 weeks.  You get 2 of them 24 hours apart.

If it makes you feel any better I was a 1 cm 50% effaced weeks 32-36 then 2 cm 50% efaced, then 4 cm 50% at 38 weeks 5 days when I finally had her. I hope you cervix is a but head like mine and holds out!

I'm so sorry you are sick!  I got bronchitis the week before having Kellen and it SUCKED!!    I hope you can get thru the junk before you deliver your little man.  I had a cranky uterus and cervix with Kellen too but he held out until 39 weeks.  Hope you are like Dawn and I!

Take it super easy.  I know, easier said than done when you have a toddler at home.  Keep on baking, Mama!!

YUCK, I am so sorry to hear you are sick, I hope it gets better quick and that baby hangs in there for a bit longer! I am not sure if they will give you steroids at 35 weeks, but I would push for it!
