My husband just got a call from his doctor's office .... his kidney is failing and he has to be put back on the list for transplant.

(He had a transplant 3 years ago....and we had hoped his donated kidney would last longer than it has...)

He won't put Cooper down.... his biggest fear is not seeing his son grow up.

My husband turned 41 a couple weeks ago and he fears he won't make it to 45 if he doesn't get a kidney. (Average wait is 5-7 years in Illinois)

Any positive thoughts you could send this way are appreciated....

My Aunt Heather died at 22 (not from her kidney problems, they were just a symptom of something else), she had 3 kidney transplants in her life. I know how hard it is to see people go through something like this, esp for him being so young.

I'm praying for a speedy kidney!! Thankfully people can live without kidneys in this day and age, it just sucks!

Oh Cindy. My heart goes out to you guys. I am sorry his kidney is failing. I can't believe that it takes that long in your state.

I work for a Nephrologist so I am around these things all the time. Kindey failure is what I deal with on a daily basis so I know first hand the stresses and difficulties you maybe going through.

I hope for the best! Hang in there! And lots of prayers that maybe he can find a living donor.

aww CIndy *hugs* thoughts and prayers going out and up!!

I have an uncle who had a kidney transplant 4 years ago now and we thank god every day that it is holding strong because we know that a day like yours could come at anytime.
